Every photo in our collection is an original vintage print from a newspaper or news service archive, not a digital image. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Description
At Orley Meyer Inc., 2250 S. 170th St., a specialized top-mounted 360-degree swing jib crane was readied for shipment to Boeing Aircraft for use in a test laboratory. The crane has a second arm mounted off the main jib boom that enables it to reach into tight spaces. Orley Meyer moved into 1985 with the best outlook in four years, said Donovan Meyer, president. With a backlog equal to 50% of its budgeted annual output, the company has geared up for higher production with a two-shift operation.

Photo measures 7.25 x 10 inches. Photo is dated 01-14-1985.
