Kurt Larson (above), and employee of Carl Newman Designs, Incorporated, 117 West Walker Street, prepares parts for one of the firm's custom designed bed frames prior to shipment. The company, which has been in production for 2-1/2 years, has eight employees and expects to reach $280,000 in sales this year, according to owner Carl Newman (left). Newman, 33, has a background in wood working and product design. The line of oak and maple bed frames, tables, chairs and couches is marketed in eight states.
