1963 Press Photo Jaguar cubs, Milwaukee County Zoo - mjb67662

Every photo in our collection is an original vintage print from a newspaper or news service archive, not a digital image. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Description
Visitors to the zoo this year will see new furry spots before their eyes. The spots may suddenly roll on the floor, stare at the spectators - and even smile. The spots belong to two jaguar cubs born in March to San Antonio Rose, the second most prolific mother in the lion house. She has had more than 20 cubs, a record surpassed only by Queenie, the lioness. About 20 rhesus monkeys were born this spring. A moose was born Sunday and a brown stump tail monkey is expecting a young one any day. Milwaukee, zoo, jaguar
