1957 Press Photo Fence at Waukesha county bank removed in a remodeling program

Every photo in our collection is an original vintage print from a newspaper or news service archive, not a digital image. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Description
Although the fence around a Waukesha county bank has been removed in a remodeling program, the bank still remains its custom of keeping the doors locked at all times. Anyone wishing to enter the Bank of North Lake still must ring the door bell and wait for admittance. The system was designed to discourage bank robbers. The bank has never been robbed. These two views show the building and after the remodeling.

Photo is dated 1957.

Photo measures 8 x 10 inches.
