1994 Press Photo Milwaukee Links Women plan 14th annual holiday fund-raiser

Milwaukee Links will start out the holiday season in fine style, thanks to (from left) Mildred Parrish, Minnie Chambers and Frieda Jefferson. Those busy women of Milwaukee Links are planning their 14th annual holiday fashion show and luncheon Saturday at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. It is the year's only fund-raiser for the Milwaukee chapter of Links, a national organization of African-American women committed to empowering the African-American family and community. Among their projects (scholarship funds, the arts, breast cancer and glaucoma screening, for example) one of the newest is a program for high school girls. Proceeds help fund these projects.
