1937 Press Photo Goodwill Industries provide work for the aged and handicapped

Christmas hobnobs with Halloween in the miscellany on the sorting table at the Goodwill Industries where Thomas Payne patiently brings order from chaos. Mr. Payne is one of the hundreds of aged and handicapped who cannot accept any assistance but the opportunity to work...,and be happy. Castoffs are skillfully turned into salable articles by these "opportunity workers" for whom the Goodwill maps out rehabilitation programs. Part of the Goodwill budget comes from the Community Fund.
