Italian Socialist leader Pietro Nenni (shown in 1961 photo) withdrew his support 6/17 from a proposed "center-left" government, ending any hope that Italy would have a government when President Kennedy visits here this month. Nenni's action in bowing to demands from Communist-aligned members of his party threw Italy into political turmoil.
