Description
The new home of the Elm Grove Savings & Loan Association was dedicated during grand opening ceremonies Wednesday at 945 Elm Grove Rd. The structure stands on the site of the old Sanders Brothers Blacksmith Shop, a widely known landmark, and officials Wednesday affixed a plaque to the new building designating the site. Principals participating in the ceremony included (left to right); Don Halfmann, executive vice president of the association; John Verdayne, president; Brian Keye, deputy commissioner of Wisconsin Savings and Loans, and Howard E. Halaska, a vice president of the association.
