1962 Press Photo Native Canoe From New Guinea Collected By Michael Rockefeller

A native canoe from New Guinea collected by Michael Rockefeller, the son of Gov. Rockefeller of New York, was uncrated in New Irleans after it arrived on the Dutch ship Karakorum. Rockefeller collected the canoe before he disappeared Nov. 20 in the jungle

Photo is dated 1962.
