1986 Press Photo Pilot Ramon Paull's plane crashed near Palm Beach, Florida

A Greenfield pilot who was rescued Tuesday from the Atlantic Ocean by a Soviet freighter said he liked the Russians but not their cigarettes, his daughter said Thursday. Ramon Paull Junior, 45, was in a single-engine Piper Comanche piloted by a friend, Bruno Castellano, 46, of Schaumburg, Illinois, when it went down Tuesday morning 36 miles northeast of Palm Beach, Florida.
