1969 Press Photo Spot with her colt Laura which was born at Milwaukee County Zoo

Spot, a reticulated giraffe, towered over her female colt, Laura, which was born at the Milwaukee County Zoo Sunday. The newcomer, whose father is Buckley, is about 5 1/2 feet tall and weighs an estimated 125 pounds. She was named for the daughter of giraffe keeper Edwin J. Schulze, Jr. Milwaukee-Zoo-Giraffes.
