1964 Press Photo History lesson for Milwaukee's Wisconsin Avenue students

A history lesson was enriched for pupils at Wisconsin Avenue School, 2708 W. Wisconsin Ave., by members of the Sertoma Club of Milwaukee, Francis H. Retske, 3090 S. Superior St., governor of the third district, Sertoma International, presented copies of the nation's Declaration of Independence to class president Richard Rasey, 14, of 605 N. 23rd St. Others who were given copies of the declaration of separation from Great Britain in 1776 were (from left) William Vogelmann, 15, of 520 N. 17th St.; Diane Olp, 13, of 2847 W. Highland Ave.; Robert Schoeffling, 13, of 2537 W. Clybourn St.; Virginia Nuoffer, 13, of 936 N. 20th St.; Thomas Burdick, 13, of 856 N. 21st St.; Donna Peterson, 15, of 537 N. 19th St.; and Dennis Provencher, 14, of 2303 W. State St.
