1985 Press Photo Participants in Milwaukee Lutheran High School strength program

Every photo in our collection is an original vintage print from a newspaper or news service archive, not a digital image. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Description
Before participants can begin daily weight training, they have to run some easy laps to loosen up their muscles. Running, jumping and riding bikes are not unusual activities for a summer afternoon, but for two hours a day three days a week, this group makes work out of those activities. Summer for the these 118 people is the Milwaukee Lutheran High School Summer Strength Program, a conditioning program to improve strength, flexibility and stamina. Open to people from eighth grade through college the six-week program is designed for budding athletes and those who just want to stay in shape.

Photo measures 10 x 6.25 inches. Photo is dated 07-03-1985.
