Milwaukee Police and US army weapons experts refused Saturday to provide specific details about the removal of a large arsenal of explosive weapons including a loaded rocket launcher, rifles and ammunition from a South Side building after an early-morning fire. The weapons were removed from a second-floor apartment in a two-story brick and frame building at 1600-02 S. 35th St. after the fire gutted the building. A Milwaukee police bomb squad disposal trailer was parked outside a burned building where ammunition and explosives were found.
