1991 Press Photo Midway Airlines was Forced to Close at Mitchell Airport

Signs and Equipment had disappeared at Midway Airlines ticket counters at Mitchell Airport early Thursday morning, just hours after the Chicago-based carrier shutdown. The collapse of a deal with Northwest Airlines forced the closing.
