1956 Press Photo Chinese alligator latest addition to the Bronx zoo in New York

This Chinese alligator is the latest addition to the Bronx zoo in New York city. It was obtained from the Warsaw (Poland) zoo in exchange for nine snakes native to the United States. The baby animal weighs 12 pounds, and it is 47 inches long.
