Description
One of the oldest-and sleepiest living creatures in the world has become a resident of Washington Park Zoo. A turtle believed to be more than 120 years old, arrived here Saturday from the Galapagos Islands off the coast of Ecuador, South America, as a "surprise gift" from Frederic Royt, United States vice-counsul at Guayaquil, Ecuador. Royt is a former Milwaukeean.
