Workmen were about to place one unit of a conveyor belt system into place at the construction site of the Falls road bridge in Grafton Thursday. After all the units were in place, the men started moving concrete to the far end of the bridge. The cost will be shared 75%-25% by the federal government and Village of Grafton, respectively. The work will consist of widening and repairing the existing road to a width of 42 feet and completing the Falls Road bridge, which was started last winter. The project will cost $1.1 million and is being done by Lunda Construction Company of Black River Falls.
