Description
This is an aerial view of the Soviet-run Radio Berlin which is situated in the British sector of Berlin. British soldiers have cordoned off the radio station by barbed wire entanglements and armed patrols in an effort to stop the flow of Red propaganda emanating from there. (Note British Military police patrolling in the front of the building.) A Soviet officer, commander of the 23 Soviet guards cooped up in the building along with radio employees, requested a conference with the British commander of the troops blocking the building. West-Berlin police said the Russian asked that a doctor be admitted to treat an ill woman, but the British officer replied that the woman was free to leave the building but no one would be admitted.
