Fire destroys the second floor of a two-story house at 2330-32 West Cherry Street as neighbors watch through heavy smoke Thursday morning. According to Fifth Battalion Chief Bert Bemann, a couple who live in the house heard a noise and saw a wall of flames when they opened a door. They escaped and called firefighters, but the second floor was engulfed by the times they arrived. The fire was under control about 7 a.m. No one was injured. Fires - Milwaukee
