1972 Press Photo US Olympic speed skater Anne Henning during 1000 meter race

The USA's Anne Henning of Northbrook, Illinois heads into a turn during the ladies 1,000 meter speed skating event February 11th. The favored Miss Henning was upset by Monika Pflug from West Germany. Miss Henning won a third place bronze medal.
