The sawdust flew as champion lumberjacks Franz Pfeifer (left) and Adolf Tascherl sawed their way to first place in the two man class at the Woodsmen's Olympics at Zweisel, West Germany. They won the gold medal in their category for properly cutting this tree trunk- 3 feet 3 inchest thick- in the fastest time. Top lumberjacks from all over West Germany competed.
