Special Transmission for the Milwaukee Journal - Political pollster Sam Lubell is shown today in his Washington office. Sam Lubell, a writer and public opinion analyst whose doorbell-ringing technique of voter interviews led him to successful predictions of winning candidates and issues in the 1950s and '60s, has died. Lubell, who was 76, died of a stroked Sunday at a Los Angeles nursing home.
