European styling is shown in the new Fairmont station wagon - auto - Ford - Fairmont Wagon - The station wagon version of Ford's all-new Fairmont is expected to be one of the car line's most popular models. Shown here with optional luggage rack, simulated wire wheel covers and Squire woodgrain bodyside treatment, the Fairmont wagon has nearly 80 cubic feet of cargo area with the rear folded down. The rear liftgate is equipped with concealed hinges and gas-strut assists and a rear-window wiper/washer system is optional. All Fairmont models feature a coil-strut front suspension, front stabilizer bar, rack-and-pinion steering and front disc brakes. A 2.3-liter engine is standard with a 3.3-liter (200-CID) Six or 5.0-liter (302-CID) V-8 optional
