Authorities cornered one of two white arctic foxes that escaped from their pen Friday in Waukesha. The fox sat cornered under a pine tree at 729 Buena Vista Avenue while Mark Hess, director of the Humane Animal Welfare Society in Waukesha County, tried to shoot it with a tranquilizer dart. The other fox was tranquilized earlier near its pen. The foxes are owned by Chris Kowalkowski, 1201 Birch Street Police spotted the second fox as it ran across Moor Downs Golf Course about a mile from its home.
