Henry A. Wallace (left), former Vice-President, shows Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia a walking stick given him by an unidentified man at Penn Station here today as he arrived for a conference with the Mayor on postwar jobs. In Washington the Senate Commerce Committee voted 14 to 5 to reject Priesident Roosevelt's nomination of Wallace to be Secretary of Commerce.
