1974 Press Photo Protest to President Ford's pardon of Nixon, held in Madison

A crowd of about 1600 marched up Madison's State Street toward the State Capitol Monday night to protest President Ford's pardon of former President Nixon. Four persons were arrested and two others were injured after splinter groups from the main body of marchers began throwing objects and starting trash fires on campus streets. Police arrested Michael Fellner, 23; Bennett Masel, 19; and Rick Caprow, 21, all of Madison, and Rick Serra, 20, of Middleton. President Ford and others - Nixon - Pardon.
