1964 Press Photo Billie Sol Estes assists cameraman after tripping over bench

Billie Sol Estes, the west Texas promoter convicted of fraud charges, gave a helping hand to a TV cameraman, Ron Reiland (right). after Reiland tripped over a bench in the corridor of the federal court building in Dallas. The cameraman had been walking backward to photograph Estes, who was granted a new $10,000 bond. His original bond was forfeited because Estes had violated its terms.
