David Harland builds a lasting image at Discovery World. Discovery World, which officially changed its name on Friday from the Science, Economics and Technology Center, was the brainchild of business people, bankers and educators. It is a nonprofit museum funded by four foundations: Briggs & Stratton Foundation; W.H. Brady Foundation; Todd Wehr Foundation and the Allen-Bradley Foundation. Although the center is located in the west end of Milwaukee Central Public Library building, it is not supported by tax dollars. The city provides space with a low-cost lease.

Photo measures 7.75 x 10.25 inches. Photo is dated 11-15-1985.
