1987 Press Photo Dave Maleckar introduces children to the museum, Discovery Kids

Discovery World's "Health is Wealth" exhibit takes visitors through a playful tour of the human body. Rebecca Turner, 2, and her sister Sarah, 9, are introduced to the Discovery Kids by museum interpreter Dale Maleckar. Discovery World is at 818 W. Wisconsin Avenue. Hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Saturday, 1 to 5 pm Sunday. Admission is $2 for adults, $1.50 for students and senior citizens. Children 5 years old and younger are admitted free. Other features of the museum include hands-on science exhibits and computer games. The "Great Electric Show" is given each Saturday at 11:30 am. "Light Waves & Laser Beams" is given at 2 pm Saturdays. Separate admission of $1.50 for adults and $1 for children required.
