Michael Hoffman a professor at University of South Carolina, holds a Pre-Dynastic vase that dates back to 3300 B.C. and is a part of a show called "The First Egyptians." That's why he and others have put together a traveling national exhibit called "The First Egyptians," with the help of a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. The exhibit, featuring pottery, flint knives, jewelry, statues and other artifacts from the earliest days of Egypt, opens Saturday at the Milwaukee Public Museum and runs through September 25.
