Papering at old world: Don Coyle hung a strip of clay-based wallpaper in Benson House, a restored home at Old World Wisconsin at Eagle. The original, unused 19th century wallpaper, part of a collection owned by Florence Schroeder of Milwaukee, was found in a dry-goods store in Brillion, Wisconsin. Coyle, of Milwaukee, a paper hanger for more than 50 years, learned to hang clay based paper as an apprentice to a German immigrant.

Photo measures 7.25 x 10.25 inches. Photo is dated 05-10-1983.
