David DeRuyter (right) and James C. Fortune (wearing hard hat) watched as part of a braking assembly manufactured by Deco Industries Inc., 6667 N Tetonia Ave., was loaded on a rail car Thursday for shipment to the Soo/Milwaukee Railroad's yard in Bensenville, Illinois. The device is designed to stop rail cars rolling down the track. DeRuyter is president of Deco Industries and Fortune is supervisor of signal construction for the railroad. Participating in the loading were Steve Schuld (foreground), Joseph Moraski (left rear) and Tony Schwartz.
