De Gaulle, wearing the Grand Collar of the Supreme Order of Christ, the Vatican's highest award which was presented to him by Pope John during a previous visit to the Vatican, extended his Italian visit after the conclusion, May 30, of the two-day meeting of Common market leaders in order to meet with the Roman Catholic leader.
