1991 Press Photo Cushing Park Bridge over Bark River in Delafield, Wisconsin

The 71 year old Cushing Park Bridge over the Bark River is thought by some officials to be in need of repairs or replacement, but Delafield is trying to square the estimated $130,000 expense with the 71 year old bridge's low level of use. Photography Carl Hoyt set out to take a picture of how the 32 foot bridge is used, but after a lonely wait he had to settle for a self-timed picture of himself ambling across it. The Delafield Park and Recreation Commission will meet tonight to work on a way to deal with the bridge.
