1979 Press Photo Milwaukee Symphony playing for Governor Dreyfus' inauguration

The Milwaukee Symphony, conducted by Kenneth Schermerhorn, performed Wednesday at the inauguration of Governor Dreyfus in the capitol rotunda. About 70 antinuclear demonstrators displayed placards in the second level. Only at the conclusion of the inauguration did the demonstrators chant "No more nuclear power," competing with Dreyfus' Rag Tag Band.
