1981 Press Photo Larry and Ardyce Eisentraut make Maple Syrup, Wisconsin

Using textbook knowledge and a modern evaporator, Larry and Ardyce Eisentraut hope to produce about 150 gallons of maple syrup this year. To make that much syrup, the family taps 320 trees to collect about 6,000 gallons of sap.
