Buried in clay, Pappalado was rescued first. Rescuers dug for two men who were buried alive in an 18 foot trench Monday afternoon. A 15 foot sewer pipe was vreated with helping save the lives of Salvatore Pappalado, 24, of 2517 N. Palmen and Clayton White, 34, of 3372 N. Richard St. Disaster
