Walter Cronkite attends the International Radio and Television Society's Newsmaker Luncheon in New York January 14. A host of past and present radio stars attended the function, which kicked off a yearlong celebration of the 60th anniversary of commercial radio. Cronkite plans to retire from his post as CBS-TV evening news anchor man soon.
