Description
Large, crooked logs are used to make "A" frame supporting beams. Some weigh two tons. Some buildings that still stand in rural England were used as guides. Builder Bell chose crooked logs to make these huge A-frames, some weighing two tons, using as models some buildings that still survive in rural England. This Gothic-arch type of construction is called "cruck" building-- a word dating from Shakespeare's time.
