1965 Press Photo Windjammer anchored in Bay on Maine Coast - mja51588

A Maine man who fell in love as a boy with the old coastal schooners designed and had built the windjammer Mary Day, docked at Bucks Harbor, Maine. Captain Havilah Hawkins patterned it after the old schooners. Now he takes people on week-long coastal cruises during the summer- as much for his never-ending love of the sea as for the living he makes out of it.
