1962 Press Photo Lavone Stehr Pets Baby Camel At Madison's Vilas Park Zoo

Madison's Vilas park zoo has a new camel, believed to be the first born of an artificially inseminated parent. The baby weighed 89 pounds at birth. University of Wisconsin coed Lavone Stehr, 21, of Madison, petted the animal.
