1984 Press Photo Statue in front of La Crosse's newest addition to the city

ON THE OFFENSIVE- A bronze sculpture of Indians engaged in the game of lacrosse, on the grounds of (La Crosse) Center, frames the newest addition the LA Crosse skyline - the 10-story building erected by the First Bank - La Crosse. The bank, a division of First Bank (N>A.), Milwaukee, will move into the new quarters in May, a spokesman said. The remaining space will be leased to business tenants. The hard ball game gave the community its name.
