Several sweater designers were making a promotional tour of the United States for Rowan, England's renowned yarn company, in 1987. They'd visited New York, Boston, Washington, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago. And then they arrived in, of all places, Cedarburg, Wisconsin. They came to visit a distinctive little shop called Woolgathering (N70W6340 Bridge Road in Cedar Creek Settlement, Mill Building, 3rd Floor).
