1973 Press Photo Edwin Wasilewski showing the dziad he cooked for three hours

It took the owner of the Ram's Head Restaurant, Edwin Wasilewski, about three hours to cook a beggar's cake on a barbecue spit and he was proud of the finished product. The cake, called a dziad, is Polish dessert and is also called a tree cake or sekacz.
