Construction workers removed some of the last of the Milwaukee Electric Railway & Light Company's rials from downtown Waukesha Wednesday. The 18-mile line between Waukesha and Milwaukee was active from 1898 the 1951 and also served passengers between Waukesha and Watertown on a 22-mile stretch of track. Above: Lawrence Kaiser of New Berlin used a torch to cut up a section of the old rail along Broadway neat Clinton. Left: Roger Kaiser, also of New Berlin, dug up a section of rail.
