Description
A 15 minute tape recorded conversation between a husband and wife was admitted into evidence in their divorce trial Tuesday. Circuit Jedge Robert W. Harisen ruled that the tape recording did not violate state statutes prohibiting the admission of evidence obtained by wire tapping. The conversation was between Arthur Wetzel, 61, of 925 E. Wells St., and his wife, Margeurite, 58, of 4524 N. Frederick av., Shorewood. Mrs. Wetzel is suing her husband for divorce on grounds of cruel and inhuman treatment. Wetzel, president of Wetzel Brothers, Inc., 112 N. Broadway, a printing firm, has filed a counterclaim for divorce on the same grounds.

Photo is dated 1964.
