Publisher William Randolph Hearst, Sr., today was awarded the Order of the Sun, highest decoration of Peru, for outstanding service to that nation and the continent. Ambassador Fernando Berckemeyer of Peru presented the medal (above) and its accompanying citation to William Randolph Hearst, Jr., who accepted the award on behalf of his father, at a special ceremony at the Embassy of Peru.
