1967 Press Photo Dr William B Walsh, Founder of Project Hope- Honored in Mil

Dr William B Walsh of Washington SC, Founder of Project Hope, Wednesday received the Wisconsin State Medical society's highest honor, the council award. Dr Walsh turned a 15000 ton navy ship into a 235 bed hospital ship, the Hope in 1958. At the society's 126th annual convention, Gov Knowles received the presidential award.
