Harris G Allen was presented a portrait of himself at a surprise dinner Saturday reorganizing his 25 years as president of North-West Telephone Co, Tomah, Wis. Nearly 300 employees, telephone industry associates and friends attended the event at the Hilton Hotel in Madison. William Heinzelmann and Peter G Allen, a director of the company joined in the presentation of the portrait painted by Mrs Dan G Mitchum, Milwaukee artist. Heinzelmann is Southern District manager of the company at North Praire. Harris Allen is a son of the late John S Allen, who founded the company in 1925. North-West operates 26 exchanges in Wisconsin and is among the largest phone firms in the state and the independent phone companies nationally.
